holiday movies

With the holiday a few weeks away (18 days, but who's counting?) I've steadily been acquiring Christmas decorations for my apartment. Garlands, twinkly lights, snow globes - the must-haves. I'm starting to get in the mood to watch good Christmas movies, and I have a list of favorites though I know there's got to be more.

Earlier this year I let it slip to Lanie that I'd never seen any of the Nora Ephron/Meg Ryan movies. She was horrified at first, but she did sit me down to watch You've Got Mail. It's not a Christmas movie per say, but most of the best Christmas movies aren't. Now, unsurprisingly, it's at the top of my list! I've yet to watch When Harry Met Sally (which is apparently a Christmas classic!), but I'm sure once she sees this post Lanie will zip me over to Charleston for a watch.

Here are a list of some of my favorite holiday films. I'm leaving out some classics like It's A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story, which are great, but aren't must-haves on my list - blasphemy, I know! Leave a comment with your favorites if I've left any out!

You've Got Mail
PS - I Love You
The Holiday
Home Alone (any and all)
Elf
Love Actually
The Grinch (the Jim Carey version, obviously)
Bridget Jones' Diary
Frozen
