When do you put up your Christmas tree?
I'm not one to shame people who celebrate Christmas early. In fact, since beginning to work in retail marketing this year I've been prepping for holiday sales since September - Spotify playlist and all. My mom has told me more than five times to turn off the Mariah Carey and Michael Buble Christmas albums. She doesn't listen to holiday music before Thanksgiving.
Per my family's Christmas tree "tradition" my dad would show up sometime around the first weekend of December (a week after Thanksgiving) with a Christmas tree. Though I love listening to Christmas music months in advance, putting up a Christmas tree before being solidly in December just seems wrong. On Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook I saw so many photos of Christmas trees already lit and decorated the Saturday after November! I was stunned. I didn't think that many people decorated so early!
So this is my question - when do you put up your Christmas tree? And do you have a real tree or a fake one? We've always been a real tree kind of family, but I have plenty of friends who don't want to deal with the hassle. I feel like the topic is super polarizing - everyone has a strong opinion!
