I'll admit, Halloween has never been my favorite holiday. I love all things pumpkin-related, but I think that is more based in my obsession with fall and PSLs. I'm happy to indulge in stealing some candies from our Halloween trick-or-treaters stash, though! I'm already looking forward to November and this weekend, which is bringing surprisingly chilly temperatures for the south...and I love it! This is exactly the type of weather I've been waiting for. I just picked up this plaid button down from J. Crew and since it's flannel, I know it will be in heavy rotation this fall and winter. I'm taking a quick trip up to Chicago in a couple of weeks and I'm both nervous and excited - I love the cold, but I don't know if I'm prepared for the Windy City! This cocoon coat has my eye, but it's not quite in my budget (#wishfulthinking), so any suggestions will be happily taken!
Let's focus on the weekend at hand though. Starting tonight I'm planning on reading more of The Goldfinch, knocking out a few blog posts, and relaxing by the first fire of the season! What about you? Is anyone else just fine skipping crazy Halloween parties?
